This is the third piece of the Creature Crypt series. With a thematic focus on the scarcity that exists in Florida as a direct result of human interference, this project reflects the active demise of Florida’s native and endemic species at large. The project captures the fast-approaching reality that these animals and their habitat may soon be gone, serving as a poignant reminder of a potential future where they have, in fact, gone extinct. The project aims to serve as a call to action, ensuring that the memorials depicted in the artwork do not become a reality.
